We have 4 days after our safari before we head back. Should we take a side trip to Zanzibar or just hang around Dar sipping sundowners at the Sea Cliff?

Is Randi, doing all the shooting??? Big Grin Good luck!!!
When you come back you may want a day or two to just rest and a one day trip is not a problem...
Without a native tour guide you will be mobbed by craft sellers...
Have a super trip...

With 4 days you could do all three.

One day in Dar for the fish market, downtown bazaar, alley for Tinga Tinga art and woodworkers village.

One day in Zanzibar for old Stone Town, the spice tour etc. - maybe a little beach time.

Two days to relax at the Sea Clff and shop for Tanzanite.

Sounds like you are doing it right.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

1115,
We'll get to Tanz on Sept 9th arriving in Arusha. Mark Young has booked a photo safari for us in Ngorogoro and the Serengeti. On Sept. 15th, we will fly to Dar and on the 16th charter into the Selous to hunt with Luke Samaras for 14 days.

We will be at the Sea Cliff on Sept 8, and 9 before flying to Namibia. we will be returning from a 10 day Buff hunt in the Selous LU 5 with Adam Clements. Anyone else there at the same time to share some stories and a sundowner?

2 days in Zanzibar stone town at the Serena Inn. Day trip to sand islands for snorkelling and swimming or Serena´s private beach at Mangapwani with a delicious seafood lunch. Spice tour in the afternoon. The rest relax at Sea cliff with some Tanzanite shopping - best place is at the Kilimanjaro Kempinsky hotel jeweller. Guarantee for quality stones and settings!!
