I just returned from Zim and SA after a elephant hunt with HHK. Other than taking 3 elephant, a buffalo, jumpfacing and taking a charge from multiple elephant, shooting an agressive bull, an injured cow and a 36" bull buff that critically maimed a 15 year old boy, it was quite boring!

It was a cow that charged Brent and me and it was turned by an apprentice hunter named Pierre hundermark with a 375 H&H no less. Long story there and I'll detail it sometime soon as it shows how in the confusion of a charge things can go bad. Brent did have to finish off a bull in thick jess wounded by a hunter before me but he didn't say anything about it charging. I hunted the Omay area out of the Chifudzi camp. We spent 7 days lookung for Freddy ( a 10 1/2" plus Vaal Rhebock but had to conclude that Freddy probably died of old age since I saw him 2 years ago as we could not find him and there was another buck in his territory.

CHEERS!

I agree with George...actually those of us lucky to hunt Africa at all should always share pictures!

I am considering writing an artile on this hunt for the SCI magazine. I'm not trying to tease any one. Also I don't have the time to lean how to put pics on here. If SCI prints the story it will be more detailed than anything I can put on here. Decions, decions1

You'll just have to wait for Steve Comus to run out of articles written by his fellow hacks, first. Roll Eyes

Most magazines aren't too worried about stories being put up on the net. It only represents a small proportion of their potential printed market.
