I can't access the group either, but my guess is the type of people who can afford to buy property in the Selous have no problem affording to hunt there and thus no need too.

This is a crap area if you ask me. Surrounded by villages. The river has practically NO wildlife in it as the humana activity is high. The reserve mgmt won't give you access into the reserve for boat cruises so you won't see any game that way. You still need to enter the reserve for game viewing. There are at least half a dozen other properties around you in various stages of development, etc.

Would be interesting to have the details of the offer that Steve refers to....

Site 1)
Situated in the B1 block of the Selous Game resreve next to Beho Beho River. At the site is a rock pool with waterfall with a pod of resident hippo.
Price US400,000.00

Site 2.)
Situated in the Y block of the Selous on the Simbazi river.
Price $US350,000.00
Both sites have 15 year leases renewable for further 10 years and thereafter.
They are registered by to TZ companies with TIC certificates.

There is a third site but we don't have details yet.

The area for development is 4000sq metres per site.
