Saeed,
Thank You and all those involved for doing such a good adm. job.
I know I speak for all on the Cast Bullet board in saying Thank You for offering us such a good, well run new home when our old board went down. - Lew

Thank you for this fantastic resource. There is more good information about hunting, and especially hunting in Africa, here than anywhere else. This site is truely priceless.

We are moving to ubb.x the latest from Infopop. The biggest factor is the ability to archive old posts so only the last 100,000 or so are active. THat way our search function won't bust the sql server and member have access to over 700,000 posts.

Also, we are changing hosts for the forum so the movies don't impede downloads here.

The new format is very similar to this one and we will be able to import all the old users/posts.

Saeed, Don, and all moderators:

Thanks for making this site available. I often recall the good fortune I felt when I first discovered it. I can't believe there's a site with folks with similar interests from all over the world.

I want to join the ankle biters in saying Thank You for the board, with the exception of the political forum it is very friendly and informative.

Good idea then we can start posting up here for a bit of variety.

Banning forums can be like banning guns, the outcome is not what one always expects

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I had an email from one of our members, which basically described our Political Forums thus:

"Every home has a shithouse, and the AR political forum is the place where all ths shitty stuff goes. Glad you made it that way"

May I suggest to our members that those who deslike our Political Forum give it a miss?

It does provide a certain amount of entertainment for some of us

Dear Saeed,

The shithouse metaphor is very apt.

I have always been sure that your presence in the Ignorance Crater is for entertainment mainly. It is the same kind of humour you showed when you set Walter up with that "zebra" in your video.

Martin

Haw!! That'll shut 'em up, won't it? You did shut it down the other day for a little while.

Hey we all like to troll sometimes, it's a convenient outlet. The shithouse metaphor people are using seems apropo.

I think shutting it down would assign it with too much signifigance, really, if you think about it, a political forum on a reloading website is a pretty obscure region of the internet.

Shutting down the Political Forum, this benchmark for freedom of expression and absence of censorship? No way! Usually most of the fun we have in places our parents or teachers told us not to go...

Besides, I'd wish to thank Saeed and Don as well. They in fact do leave a deep footprint here and help us all to gain a better understanding of hunting and the shooting sports.

Will we loose our PMs in the transfer?

If so can you give a little notice as there are some I need to copy somewhere else.

Thanks.

We don't know, so I suggest you do copy anything important.

Also, as a general rule, I suggest everyone makes copies of their important PMs, as we do clean up every now and then, deleting those over a few months old.
