I'm looking for some up to date information about the quality of the plains game hunting in the area in the Save hunted by Shangaan hunters. Considering a plains game hunt there in June for kudu, eland, bushbuck, waterbuck, etc...

Thanks, wyattd

Wyatt,

I hunted with Shangaan in 2004 for plains game. You absolutely cannot go wrong booking with these guys. There is an abundance of plains game and the PHS are top notch. I can not say enough good things about this outfit.

PM me if you want more info.

Steve

I have not hunted with Shangaan personally but have hunted the Hammond and Mkwasine concessions in the Save with Buzz Charlton. We hunted right next door to Shangaan's hunting concession, Senuko and it is a hunting paradise! I have friends who hunted with Shangaan and they have rebooked with them in 2007 for buff and plains game so their vote of confidence is enough for me!

I think new_guy hunted with Shangaan -- not sure where. You could check with him.

Yes, I have hunted with them before.

In a nut-shell, the Save is top-notch: lots of game, great people, etc... and the Senuko camp is second to none.

I'd be glad to answer any questions.

Ganyana who also posts here knows Gordon Duncan well and is a good "on the ground" reference.

New Guy: that is a fantastic Kudu. I love the wide spread. I have a nice one as well, but the curls are really tight. Congratulations. jorge
