You just made a great decision ! That first safari experience is special, make the very most of it. Leave the tape measure at home and treasure each day for the gift that it is.

any packing tips?

Another to become acquainted with the African Hunting addiction.

As far as packing do not over pack, most places have daily laundry services. Be aware of all regulations concerning firearm and ammo transport. I believe I heard that as far as ammo is concerned RSA is starting to enforce that ammo has to be in a locked container in your checked bags.

You will have a great time and do not let the little things bother you.

That first trip is like kissing your first girl friend. It will be all you can think about from then on.

My wife and children are just as excited as I am and have their own species they want to hunt. We all will be hunting plains game though
