https://www.dailynews.co.zw/ar...-on-wildlife-hunters I was unable to copy and paste the article, it concerns bowhunting in Zimbabwe. Kathi kathi@wildtravel.net 708-425-3552 "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."

Banned from outcry from animal rights groups!! I have a great idea. Anytime any of these clueless, idiotic organizations demand to ban anything, the respective governments should tell them to pay them, each year, what they would have gotten from hunting. Let us see them put their money where their mouths are.

Let's see how long those payments go on. The ARA groups may lose their appetite after a few years.

Saeed, Be carful what you wish for. I would not be surprised in the least, to see some large, well funded, well organized anti-hunting groups look at buying complete game quotas in areas. They would fund anti-poaching as well, giving the hunting, conservation model literally no ground to stand upon. With Tanzania open/expired GMA's going the route of auction, what's to keep some groups to dabble in this? Our internal fighting and constant bickering, vs the well organized and well funded opposition is a very real danger. Formerly "Nganga"

Yes but I'm sure Big 5 Bowhunting is closed in SA at least on Goverment land, you know I think Ted Nugget had some thing to do with it closing ?

Saeed's scenario is exactly what the German NGO Hemmersbach Rhino Force did in the Rifa Triangle in Zimbabwe this year. For the next 5 years they will be paying full quota fees and carrying out anti-poaching operations. But very few of this lot will put their money where their mouths are, least of all PETA.
