With all these stories of buff shot through both lungs and they still run away, they must be muti buffalo. Too many "broke both shoulders, blew its heart to simthereens, put a shot through its spine, scrambled its brain, shot off both of its front legs, shot off both of its back legs, and its oysters, and it still came on..."

Too tough for me! Well, without rubber boots anyway! Smiler

Give it up Retreever. I'll go for you and save the world. Cool

Will,

If you had won, you would have had to go out and buy a Marlin 1895 lever gun in .45-70!! You know.... so you'd have a decent rifle for Cape Buff. By not winning, you saved some money not having to buy the rifle!

Will,

I am really disappointed in you!

You have been hunting so long, and you still have not realized that the only way to kill a buffalo - or an elephant - is to shoot them while they are lying down!

It makes no difference where you hit them the first time. As you get closer to them, they lay down and pretend to be dead.

NEVER fall for this trick. As The DEAD ONES can kill you.

So what you do is sneak very slowly, get closer, and put a killing bullet in that black mass lying down in front of you.

The best part is this shot can be anywhere. If you see any movement, just continue shooting.

You might hear your PH saying "STOP SHOOTING! He is DEAD!"

And if you want to annoy him, get lower on the ground, and saying "I want to collect more bullets!" fire another bullet into that buffalo.

This very simple system has worked for me so far, and I am planning to stick to it.

Admittedly, it is a plan that I do not use much. But it is a good plan.

Be safe this year.
