I spent a few days at my deer lease with my videographer Ian Lewis and a couple of PH's from Zimbabwe. One of them was Dale Des Fountain of Brooklands Safaris. We had a great time. As a result I have booked with Dale for March 2006. I will be hunting Trophy bull elephant as well as 4 crop raiding bulls, 2 buff, leopard, lion, and what ever plains game gets in the way. We can also move to another location for croc and hippo if time allows.
I also have the option to take another trophy bull and additional crop raiders if I so desire.
I will be hunting in the Deka area next to Hwange National Park.
Ian will again be filming my safari.
I can't wait. Big Grin Big Grin

Are there that many crop raiding elephants that the PH can assure you that there will be at least 4 of them when you are there?

What is the Trophy Fee for the crop raiders?

Regards,

Terry

Me thinks something is amiss here. You booked a hunt for 4 crop raiding bulls 14 months in advance? How many crops will they raid until you get there?

I am going early in the season because this area always has crop raider problems durring the this time. Of course if there are none then there are none, that is why they call it hunting, but this area is right next to Hwange. I was given a very good price on the first 4 crop raiders, after that they are 2K each. The 2 trophy bulls are at the standard price 10K.

I am going to hunt the whole month. With all the effort it takes to get there I figured I might as well stay a while. Big Grin
My first trip was 21 days.... did not seem long enough.
