Here's mine. Looking back I would prefer the head to not have as much turn to it.

I have my two done the same as Kino. If I had it to do again, I would consider a pedastal mount. A sable really looks great done in a pedastal. Perhaps someone can post one done that way.

Mine is at the taxidermist now. It is being done as a pedistal mount. You want to show off those horns, and a pedistal is the best way.

dogcat, this is the only picture I have with me here in my office, but you should get an idea of what my pedistal sable looks like in the corner.

Have any of the guests had a FULL MOUNT Sable, please post a picture as that would be a magnificient animal in full mount.

I like the side look on a sable. It is more impressive from the side than from the front. On a shoulder mount you don't have much choice since the horns would be stuck in the wall on a front facing shoulder mount.

Let Jerryy Huffaker do it on a pedastal. You won't be sorry. I am in Edmond and would love to show you my Zebra and Kudu that he did on a
Pedastal.

Here is my Sable on a pedestal mount. This allows you to pick the best angle for your room and it takes up very little space.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but safari12, you have a great looking trophy room. Do you think you could post some more pictures? (Possibly in the "Trophy Room" section). I'd really like to see more.

Thanks,

My mount is just like Kino's. A very nice mount although I believe the next one should I be so lucky will be a pedistal mount.

I've seen a full body mount of a sable at my taxidermists. It also had a full maned lion in a combined mount with the lion bringing the sable down. Nice mount, wouldn't want to pay for the animals or the mount except after winning the lottery.

A friend of mine did a full mount with his Sable, it is magnificent. If you have the place go for a full mount.
