Exhibitors and others have received an email advising the 2026 show dates have been moved from January 8-11 to February 6-8, 2026. Looks like show shortened by a day, too.

I saw that change announced a few weeks ago. It certainly gets the show closer to the SCI show. And of course it does not interfere with the SCI/TTHA show.

Yes, there were complaints from the international guys being gone so long. The 2027 dates are back to early January. The change also shows how flexible dates can be.

It will be interesting to see how NRA does at the same place in Atlanta. Obviously, the weather isn’t an issue.

I don't know if I'll ever go to Atlanta while DSC is there. There are a handful of folks I want to talk to, so I'll have to check and see if they are there. They all thought the DSC show in Atlanta last year was a disaster and I don't know if any of them are coming back. If not, I'll go to SCI, but it is a lot more expensive. I may just wait until DSC is back in Texas.

But I said early on there were alternative venues in Texas. They had a good thing going and can't believe how badly they have fouled it up.

Well, DSC will be at George R. Brown in 2028. It was asked about the impact to HSC. The answer was not so clear, but a possible collaboration.

A new requirement for exhibitors.

They have to buy RAINBOW SASHES!

The more sashes they buy, the better chance they have of getting the booth they want!

A perfect lesson to learn of how a great club is being ruined by IDIOTS!

I was told hotel bookings are lower than expected. One of the larger exhibitors told me that he (as a company) hates Atlanta and said the feeling is shared by many others. Also said they will likely skip DSC while in Atlanta.

I’m planning to go, but only because I want to talk directly with Christophe Morio and Jean Luc DAMY of Congo Forest Safaris. DSC is the only show they attend and I’m hunting with them next May, along with one of our most esteemed AR members. We both want to discuss our hunt in person since it is so different than most other African hunts.

Interestingly, they told me that DSC this year was a great show for them. I guess the unique nature of what they offer was a big reason for their success.

DLS, I'd like to hear more about that hunt. I'm looking for something different.

I presume you are talking Brazzaville Congo, not DRC.
