My wife and I hunted Namibia last year, the first two weeks of September, and we still have not gotten our trophies. By trophies I mean just the skins, horns and skull, we didn't have anything tanned or mounted. The PH was to just dip, pack and ship everything to us. Well, its been a year now and we haven't gotten them. Is this long a wait common?

A group of people I hunted with in Namibia last month still had their trophies from 2001 sitting in warehouse in Windhoek. Unbelievable! They had all kinds of major complications on the delivery, tanning, export end with a particular business, and the stuff never left. After 2 years of waiting, they decided to quit fighting it and do the hunts over, same outfitter and area, but with another receiving outfit with a much better reputation.

I think you need to get on the phone with him. When did you last communicate with the PH about the status of the trophies?

Mark- SBT and I hunted in Namibia this past May. Our skins, skulls and horns arrived to our taxidermist in Cody in mid August. So, yes one year is bullshit!! Your PH or whoever must get your trophies with the necessary paperwork to the shipping agent (we used I.F.N. Airfreight Logistics in Windhoek) before anything can be done. Sounds like he hasn't even done that yet. JOHN
