| Here is my 4 incher that I got in Zim last July. Seems it was "lost" somewhere between Zim and the US. It would of made a neat little mount for my office.steve |

| If you do have a backskin, take it, the hair is excellent for dry flies! Haven't found it in me to shoot one! cheers |

| They seem to be wonderful little critters. There were three hanging out at the Fimbiri camp at Lemco. Bouncy little suckers!
Of the tiny ten, I'd really like to try for klipspringer. Maybe if I go back to Zim after that Bushpig, a klippy will get some attention.
Neat animals. |

| Here's my Klippie I took in 2002, Zimbabwe What a fun hunt! Saw him the first day, he and a female stayed up in this hilly country. for 5 days we cruised through there looking for him we ended up having to climb up in these hills, go over the top and sit and wait looking over to another hill. After a few hours we spotted him, a smaller one and a female. I shot him at about 200 yards with a .270 Interesting climb up to get him, this is where the photo was taken, with the sun almost down. his horns are just about 4 3/4 inches!

| The ranch I hunted in Zimbabwe in 1995 had klipspringers but not in great numbers. Also had a lot of rock hyrax. One day we came across a rather nice klipspringer and I asked my PH if they could be harvested and he basically didn't want to talk about it and said discuss it with the safari manager. At dinner that night I asked the manager to which he roared that nobody is allowed to shoot his "pets" period!
I went back two years later, no klipspringers and no rock hyrax. Seems that young leopards were working with a different agenda. |

| Where do you find a good Klippy? It seems they are rather widespread throughout much of Southern Africa, but are pretty thinly scattered over much of that range. From what I've read, there seem to be pretty good populations in the broken county coming out from the Zambezi, Limpopo, and other larger rivers throughout Zim. Any Klippy experts out there? Where are the biggest or the best numbers?
Use enough gun... Shoot 'till it's dead, especially if it bites.
