Has anyone tried 17 HMR on Genet or African Wild Cat? Results?

No, only stray cats that wonder onto my property.

i always used a scattergun. neither is very big or thick. i would tend to think that the 17 would blow a big hole in either one.

We shot quite a few jackals with 17HMR, 22 Mag, and 222 with no losses. They all worked fine. My top ten African Wildcat succumbed to a front-on chest shot with the 222, and that was slightly over-kill from the exit hole.
