Guys,

I was reserving a 7 day (non exportable) Elephant hunt in Botswana for an elderly client who has just pulled out.

The hunt is due to take place in the tribal lands that run from the backline of the Tuli Block up to and beyond Selibe Phikwe, in early April 2008 and the cost is US$10K all in. As with all my Elephant hunts, it's mature bulls only.

Please contact us by e-mail if anyone is interested.

Steve,

Does this mean you are hunting mature bulls with ivory, but one cannot export the ivory?? Kudude

Yes, that's quite correct. This is a fairly new programme and the largest so far was a single tusker with ivory of about 70lbs. (Taken by a local resident) Confused

This sounds like a great price, but isn't the average bull around 30 pounds?

I can't remember exactly, but in the year or two the programme has been running, the smallest was about 30 lbs and the largest was the aforementioned 70 odd pound single tusker.

Fly into Johannesburg and transfer to Pietersburg where you'll be collected for a road transfer across the border into Botswana.

There's no PG hunting in this area as the locals have eaten it all...... (plenty of Elephants though) We can offer a PG hunt either before or after the hunt in a seperate location. We're working on those prices now and hope to have them on our website sometime this week........
