Welcome to AR Forum. Enjoy your hunt preparation and please heed the good advice given by Terry Carr in his tips. Also, don't be ashamed to ask questions on this forum. As you can see here is a wealth of experience that people will freely share with you and all. There are no stupid questions, only dumb answers! Africa is a big place, so please tell us more: Where is your safari to, for what animals and who is arranging it all? Best wishes, Verewaaier.

Mike Free diving and snorkeling is very relaxing and I will always enjoy it. Buit if somebody steps up to us and says "Red team ready in five minutes"... "Hat the diver"... then we will not comply. Bathing trunks, fins and snorkel is comfertable this is not.... W e will not need to dive deep to get a buzz the Wine and the grappa will take care of that We will post pictures... Cheers, Andr

Mufasa. I am maybe not the most competent to ask, but speaking about "Mausers", the "Mauser Bolt Action Working Principle" attracts me. That the bolt of the rifle has a full grip on the cartridge through the whole working cycle, from the feed from the magazine till extraction of the empty cartridge after the shot has been fired. Compared to the more common "push feed working mechanism", the Mauser Principle, secures a very high reliability of function, and better tolerance to external factors influencing, ie. dirt/sand. And isn't reliability what we sincerely wants, when facing dangerous game, where the right shot, at the right time and on the right spot can mean the difference between life and death, our life and death.... The Mauser principle is utilized not only in the rifles from the original "Mauser Werke" in Obendorf, but in excellent and very expensive rifles from the famous Holland & Holland gunmakers till the very affordable, and reliable BRNO's. (Those two shouldn't been mentioned in the same sentence....) Then there is a lot of custom rifles around, build on original german wartime Mauser bolts and locks. My very good friend and colleague Andre (JeffereyDenmark) can tell you much more if you ask him. I have the same attitude towards hunting equipment and rifles as to diving equipment, as both can mean the difference between my life and death. Hope that my humble knowledge can be helpfull in some way.
