lb404Piggy back safari in September
We are going on a 10-14 day hunt in RSA in September. I am looking for some options for a piggy back safari for 7-10 days that is an easy link up out of Johannesburg. We have been to Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, and enjoyed them all. Thought of the Luangwa valley but September is really hotter than I want. We have missed Victoria Falls every time for many reasons. Would a hunting trip to Zimbabwe be out of line for me and my daughter? Safety is really important to me. Would like to see the falls for sure this time.

L. David KeithNot a problem. I can arrange pickup at Bulawayo then onto hunting PG or DG, then sight seeing/shopping in Bulawayo before going up to Vic Falls; escorted of course. Let me know if I can help.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

lb404David, what do you have in mind and where?

JudgeGI took my daughters to Vic Falls last June. We had the time of our lives. Did the river rafting (one hell of a climb out of the canyon), booze cruise, helicopter, elephant ride, lion walk, stayed at the Vic Falls hotel.... ate at the Boma and Jungle Junction... it was great.
I don't know if David can facilitate any of Matetsi, but it's only 40 minutes away from the Falls, and that can a bunch of time and possible angst.
Ganyana set me up with a tour company that was top notch. They gave me a turn-key price, had someone meet us at the airport, escorted us every step of the way, etc. I knew to the penny what everything would cost and didn't have anyone holding out their had for anything. Pretty cool.
Here's how good the escort was: My youngest daughter about had a hissy-fit when she found out that her RSA cell phone wouldn't work to call her boyfriend. The fellow got in his auto and drove to the border, crossed the bridge and bought Zambian minutes on his phone and gave it to her for the remainder of the trip, then wouldn't take a tip (on top of the sales price, of course) since I'd already negotiated that into the fee.
We are blessed here on AR with lots of folks that can get you done up right... and I know if you choose David he'll do you right.
Have fun!

lb404Thanks. Sorry I missed the Dallas gig this year. My partners and I are getting on in years and all the call and long days/short nights are taking a toll. Maybe next year!
