Hunt in CAR this week, a little different. I will say that the primary animal sought was bongo, but one was never seen. Caleb

That's got to hurt! We seldom get to choose But I've seen them go both ways And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory Than to slowly rot away!

No bongo, but giant forest hog, red river hog, warthog, RF duiker, bush duiker, and blue duiker make for nice consolation prizes. In fact, many would trade the forest hog for a bongo without a moment's hesitation. Will J. Parks, III

Not me... but I would not have passed on the buffalo either! On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch... I thought it was a good show. Agree on the buffalo and would not have passed. One looked like a pretty good bull. Recently, both TAA and Craigs other show have been very good. York, SC

It was a good show and a great hunt. After all he came away with the "Grand-Slam O' Ham"! jorge USN (ret) DRSS Verney-Carron 450NE Cogswell & Harrison 375 Fl NE Sabatti Big Five 375 FL Magnum NE DSC Life Member NRA Life Member

Very good photography. Did like the straight forward presentation of info. on time of hunt and likelihood of not getting a bongo. The detail of explaining the meaning of marchand was a great point and that reflects the quality and attention to all viewers that makes Safari Classics stand alone. Sure beats the juvenile chainsaw rock noise and mindless chatter on most hunt shows. Yes on the bull.. That hunter was blessed more than most.. good for him. Great show. I've got to agree that those buffalo would have been really tempting. At least to me, that show gives a better feeling of "being there" than any of the others. Very refreshing compared to hicks in trees, high-five contests and hours of mugging for the camera while driving or laying around a lodge.

I mentioned the lack of bongo to keep some suspense for those who hadn't seen it, not as a gripe about the show. Keep up the good work Dave, Craig, and Ivan. Caleb

Thanks Elton, Having grown up in a town of 17 people with my dad as my teacher I wasn't excluding myself either. But then I wouldn't expect anyone to want to watch any of my lame backyard adventures on TV... Kyler
