What is currently the least expensive option for an elephant hunt? I haven't had time to do much research lately, but have looked into the "non-trophy" hunts offered by Omujeve Safaris in the Caprivi...which seems to be one of the more reasonable options. http://omujevehuntingsafaris.com/caprivi/ Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. _______________________________________________________ Hunt Report - South Africa 2022 Wade Abadie - Wild Shot Photography Website | Facebook | Instagram

Least expensive hunt would most likely be a tuskless cow in Zim. If that floats your boat. CMS Safaris would be a good outfitter to contact. Tom Z NRA Life Member

I've hunted Omujeve's Mashi camp, it was a very enjoyable hunt, and we were the first to stay there. In the two years since, I understand it is more improved. We had hippos a couple hundred feet from the fire at night, spent many batteries looking at them with flashlights. A lot of the hunting was out of a boat, spotting elephant, then exit the boat and make a stalk. If species other than elephant or buff are important, best check with them, and not count on extra species being available if not reserved. Our hunt was in early September, two weeks prior, they flew over and saw very few elephants. During our hunt, we saw, conservatively, over a thousand. Big change in short time. BTW I am in your area, PM me if you want to grab lunch and see some pictures and talk about it. I've also hunted the Salambala and Kabulabula concessions there. Call Neil and Gary Duckworth and ask about their non-export elephant hunts in Sengwe Research. You can also shoot buff and some good PG. Will J. Parks, III

Eland, If you want to talk about cost tuskless in Zim is the cheapest. About $1000/day daily rate and about $4000 for trophy fee.

for about the same price as a tuskless cow in Zim, you can shoot an "own use"( non exportable) bull in the Caprivi with Karl Stumpfe( Ndumo Safaris). i did it 2 years ago and just got back 2 weeks ago accompanying my BIL on a similar hunt. he also shot a trophy bull. i shot mine the second day after looking over several herds the first day. he shot his the second day after shooting a big buff the first day.... Agreed, and would also add Martin Pieters Safaris to the list. Mad Dog

Cameroon is also a good option, additional benefit being able to take west African savannah buffalo, roan and other plains game unique to W.Africa. Arjun Reddy Hunters Networks Tel: 845 259 3628

Jamy Traut in the Caprivi or Duckworth in Sengwa. Both places you can also work in a non-trophy buf. Hunted both places last year and you will have a great hunt. One thing to think about, bulls are about 1/3 bigger than cows. I have hunted tuskless and that is a GREAT thrill. But hunting the HUGH body bulls is on another level to me. I did the cows first and just wanted to hunt the bigger body bulls.

that's why an "own use" Caprivi bull( which costs about the same as a tuskless cow in Zim) is a better deal. Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP
