Since the debacle at their USA store in Springfield, MO. several months ago, I have often wondered if/when that location would re-open. Does anyone here know if it has and whether or not all of the guns that were confiscated have been returned?

I talked to them on I believe it was 3/31 or 4/1 and asked about some .577 and 500 Jeffrey ammo. I cannot find the guys name at the moment that I talked with about it. He said it would be about 2 months before they had those items.
I asked him, "Are you open for full business and etc." The answer was "yes." I din't ask about specific guns. They have some on one ob the auctions sites now. They also have a sale going on on their accessory items. I see from their website some of the gun invnetory has changed. Since i didn't drive down, I can only report what I wasa told. I also asked if they were going to has a table at the Tulsa Gun Show. Answer was "no".

John,

I had not heard of the problems they were/are having.....can you fill us in with some details?

I just got off the phone with WR. They are having a great "Spring" sale and I purchased half a dozen items from their leather goods collection. In any event I was told they are relocating and would be back in the swing of things in 1 1/2 to 2 months.

Regards,
Dave

David,
Around the middle of December '03 the BATF came in and arrested Bob Francis, the manager, and a couple of others there plus several other pawn shop owners in the area. It was apparently a big sting operation. The gun inventory was loaded up into trucks and taken away as "evidence" by the BATF. I received several emails from their (WR) office afterwards, telling me the guns were supposed to be returned shortly after the first of the year. Many of them were there on consignment. I had nightmares just thinking about what the owners of those $50k+ double rifle were going through!
Now that the dust has settled I just wondered what was going on down there. Where are they going to relocate the store?
