Man-eater lioness killed in Dar

Residents of Zingiziwa Village at Chanika area in Dar es Salaam, on Monday killed a lioness after it attacked four people and injured them seriously, Ilala Regional Police Commander (RPC), Mr Faustine Shilogile, said yesterday. He named the victims as Hamisi Mgagala (35), Seif Ngiyamode (19), Salahe Hamisi (20) and Hamisi Said (20).

The RPC said that the victims were taken to Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH). He said Hamisi and Said were attended and discharged, but the other two were admitted. Mr Shilogile said wildlife officers in co-operation with the Chanika residents killed the man-eater.
