Here is another set of pretty impressive bosses taken by one of my clients about 3 weeks ago. Very impressive at 18.5 inches each. Very impressive. Only a very slight gap and quite bulbous. 16"+ I missed the 18"+ ... sorry ... Fantastic! [ 08-14-2003, 21:47: Message edited by: Nickudu ]

Isn't there always a gap after trophy prep?

That is a very nice bull, dont'cha love those old warriors and what I like most is you need a damn tape to appreciate the old boys... I would rather shoot a 37 inch warrior with nicks, scars, even a broken tip, with his tail bit off by Lions and thoes big shiny bosses than a 45" plus young bull with hairy small soft bosses, and milk foam around his lips....I see a lot of those big young bulls being shot these days with lots of bragging rights being applied, it makes me sick..those bulls would be future record book animals if allowed to live. The emphasis on inches is not a good thing IMO...

I shot this bull at 10 yards with a .416. He wasn't wide, at 36" but his body was far bigger than any of his pals and the bosses went a smithereen under 16". I was quite happy with him. [ 08-14-2003, 22:03: Message edited by: Nickudu ]
