crbutlerThat is quite interesting. Are you guys having a normal rain year or is this a bit on the light side?

Barry GroulxPretty light farther south, but the Luangwa catchment area's a lot closer to the ITCZ.

impala#03When I hunted with Mike and Ross Heath, our camp was on the Luangwa. Not much water in mid October. I wondered how much water flowed during the rainy season. WOW! That's a lot of water.

It is very much on the light side this season. We have received 8 inches less than what we should have by now.
The river level should be about 6 feet higher.

Gerhard.DelportAwesome photos.
The top photo is how most of the South African lowveld rivers look like now. Its almost the start of the next dry season.
Herbivores are in for a very bad time.
Will be next to the Limpopo in the Pafuri area in a bit more than a week from now and will come share photos on my return.

infinitoThanks for sharing Thor! It is a real pity in some areas of our country it is still bone dry and the drought is bad!
