All,

General question for the group. On a first Arican safari to anywhere (that also has DG or course), would you hunt plainsgame only or add dangerous game? Basically thinking of leopard or buff. Thanks for any and all replies.

This is the way I would look at it, if you go for plains game you probably will go back the next year or in 2 years to complete/add to your collection. Hence, if you spend 4k in airfair for 2 and 5k for a hunt and 1.5k for shipping each year you'd be in 10.5k for each year and be in 21k for 2 years of hunting.

After doing so, in hind site you'll look back and wish you'd went only one year for 14 days and hunted leopard/buff and spent less then going 2 years 20 days for only plainsgame.

When hunting DG, there will always be the opportunity to shoot various plainsgame.

If you just want to get your feet wet, then plains game. If you are already a serious hunter, then dangerous game.

How will you feel on a plains game hunt when you see a trophy buffalo but cannot pull the trigger?
