We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

dsitemanPerhaps the photographer did not have permission to publish/display the person involved. Not sure why that would be, but one is supposed to have written permission to do so.
Elephant is the star, not the shooter!!
05 October 2008, 05:14
ivan cartergreat elephant , no doubt shot with a heym

... that long tanzania ivory is simply incredible , any idea of how long the pulled tusks went and what area the elephant came from , congrats to the hunter ...

BigFiveJackGreat elephant bull.
Hunter told wife he's
at a biz conference in
London, not trapsing
about the Tanz. bush.

Jack
OH GOD! {Seriously, we need the help.}
05 October 2008, 05:30
DuckearI would imagine new-guy received the pic in an email from a customer. He posted it here to show off the elephant. He thoughtfully hid his customer's face out of respect for not knowing whether or not he wished for his photo to be on the net with his trophy.

I disagree.
It is a security precaution. There are people out there who use internet postings as a theft shopping to do list.
It is like having NRA or gun stickers plastered on your auto. What does that tell the bad as he drives down your street? It makes you a big target for theft.
05 October 2008, 06:28
CrazyhorseconsultingThere is a simply remedy for that, take a picture of the animal with out the hunter in the picture.
As for your analogy about the NRA stickers and such, first they are going to have to get your license tag number and see if you even live in the area. Lame ass excuse. JMO.
Even the rocks don't last forever.
05 October 2008, 06:34
JohnAirThereare 1000 good reasons why the face might be blacked out and none of them are any of your f~?**& business. Why are there always people out there who feel like they are responsible for policing others. JEESH!!

I agree. No wonder some people never post reports.

It is simpler than that. A predator will drive down your street and check the cars or they will follow you home. Then they mark your address and come back later.
It is not Lame. It is what they do.

And when they see an NRA sticker, they pass by and go to your neighbors who do not have one because they know that, as an NRA member, you are armed.
Nice, nice elephant. Congrats to the hunter. I don't care what his reason for being deleted is, nice elephant.

That was the intent, but I can see that it's caused too much of a ruckus to conceal any longer.

JKSGreat ele and nice job Chris!

John
There are those that do, those that dream, and those that only read about it and then post their "expertise" on AR!
05 October 2008, 09:32
JefffiveAmazing, Chris gives us a picture of a
very nice animal and the most important thing to some is that they can't see the face of a hunter they likely never heard of.

Lorenzonew-guy,
Now it's much better

I just hate to see those black holes in great pictures, I was not looking for any explanation because it's not my business.
That was all what I was trying to say, it wasn't my intention to hijak your thread. Sorry.
Hey Johnair, take it easy my friend, I did not insult anyone in my post, I just give a personal opinion, you can like it or not.

450/400Does anybody else find it disturbing that Jack's head is as big as an elephants? I mean, I knew it was big, I've seen it in the commercials, I guess I never had a chance to see it next to anything else. Movie magic I guess.
Nevermind, I don't want to hijack the thread away from the really, really nice elephant...
