Gents:
As the title says, what animals and from what countries are not importable into the US?

I believe elephant and some lion from Zim.
Elephant and lion from Tanzania
Lion from South Africa.

Can you enlighten me with the facts and a complete list, please?

My reason for asking is I want to so do some additional hunting. I have ivory in Zimbabwe that may sit here for ever. I'm in Zim. now posting this. Return home on the 21st.

Thanks,
Cal

Mr. Pappas,

I can’t answer your question, but your style still rocks. I’m sure we are all waiting for a hunt report/s.

I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.

Did Mark Sullivan accompany you as your tea boy?

He has not got a professional hunter license in South Africa so I am sure he cannot get on in Zimbabwe? sofa

DSC & Saeed:
Good day, gentlemen.
I'm still in Zim for a few days on vacation and will be home on the 21st. I will pen a hunt report with photos within a few days of my return.

And Saeed:
I know you don't care much for Mark and you and I have butted heads on the issue. My concern is I don't want you to ban me from AR for my post(s) on my hunt with Mark. Will you do so?
Cheers, mates.
Cal

Three or four from Africa that I can think of off of the top of my head: Black faced Impala, Brown Hyena, Cheetah, Pangolin. Does that help, Cal? Big Grin

Not at all.

We are all ears to hear how a self glorifying so called “professional hunter”, who used to face half dead buffalos right in the open and slaughter them.

Managed to go so low that he has become an accompanying tea boy for “hunters” shooting ear tagged, pet buffalo in South Africa!

I wonder what his job is now in Zimbabwe?

Clean the tents, does the laundry, or j8st makes himself pretty serving drinks by the fire? clap

I am assuming all this as I know the requirements for getting a professional hunter’s license in Zimbabwe is far more difficult than getting one in South Africa! rotflmo

Saeed:
Thanks for your word of honor on not banning me and I also hope you won't erase my post(s).

Now Saeed, you are starting rumors that are unfounded once again.
No one has ever said Mark has a PH license in SA.
No one has ever said or hinted Mark has a PH license in Zim. I am not here with Mark but vacationing with friends on a tobacco farm north of Harare and we just returned from a week on the Zambezi fishing and game viewing. We were just west of and bordering on Mana Pools.

Please keep your negative comments as least factual, my friend. I know when I make my post you will go on the warpath.
Cheers,
Cal

I know he has no license in either South Africa or Zimbabwe!

That little pesky fact was posted here by his agent.

When he gleefully told us about the ear tagged pets someone was killing with the attendance of of our self proclaimed half dead buffalo slayer! clap

As to what is importable for now, it sounds like no place is banned but they have to make an individual assessment regarding elephant and cats.

If you have exact questions, I’m sure the good folks at conservation force can make it clear for you.

Damn! I hate spiders and snakes.
Alask has no snakes. And no fleas and ticks and no heartworm for dogs. I love it here and global warming has not reached us.

It did on a cape buffalo and an impala. I will post when I return home and watch the fireworks from Alaska to light up the night sky! (I can't post here in Zim as the connection is too slow to post pics).
Cheers,
Cal
