Hugh, I am going to the Selous next year for lion, elephant, buffalo. A friend will be hunting leopard and buff. I had the spot right after mine as well but some clients from Mexico cannot go. It is set up for a good value, (not cheap) as it is with one of the best in Africa. Some friends are considering now but if you would like to know more I can help you. I will attach my cell phone as 248-802-8249 Cheer, York, SC | |||

Why not Zimbabwe for Buffalo and leopard? You can have some very good buffalo and leopard hunting in some areas in Zimbabwe. Just curious to know why you exclude Zimbabwe? Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it. One cannot cure: Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules! By quality, do you mean "trophy quality" or "service quality"? In Tz leop is on 21 day license - which also allows you a vast number of other species such as lion, sable, roan, greater kudu, eland, e.a. species, etc. Most outfitters charge the same whether you want only 2 or 3 of the above "key" species or all on license. If you are looking at TZ, then probably the very best area would be one of the Maswa blocks for the 2 species mentioned. Masaailand AT THE RIGHT TIME can also be very good. South/Central Tz is excellent as well. Most of Selous is great for quantity and occasionally quality of trophies. Western Tz such as Moyowosi, kigosi et al are not first choice for leopard but are decent for buff. There are many options of outfitters. Happy hunting! "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A.
