For the sake of discussion and knowledge just how does every body travel with your guns to keep them safe and relieve headaches?? I use a takedown double case that I can either break down my doubles or take the guardscrews out of a bolt action and put then into the short case. My case then fits into a hockey equipment bag with a bit of foam rubber padding around it. Usually it doesn't even come through in the gun line, but rather in the normal baggage line. It seems like nobody in africa cares to much about hockey equipment. It is a bit of a pain to undo for TSA but is apparently not recognized as a gun case.

I'm with you butchloc. The take-down case inside a travelling bag is the way I choose to go. In order to be able to get the guncase out for inspection as fast as possible, it goes into the bottom compartment of a bag something like this: Drop bottom duffel

Bwanahile- A slight but significant correction: Harry will meet anyone's price and as long as that is so, I feel we should support our fellow members.

Wouldn't supporting our fellow member mean allowing him to make a living, not requiring him to match the discounters prices. We can't have it all. Next thing we'll want service too.

If you order one from Calif. you get a case that most likely has only been sold once...now what would you have to talk about around the campfire if that was the case (pardon the pun)...buy one from me and no telling who all paid for it before you took actual possession.
When you get a case from me it is kind of like finding the prize in the box of Cracker Jacks!! Razzer
