N'gagi and I are scheduled to leave LAX tomorrow (8/12/04) morning at 7:00 AM. That means getting up at 4:00 AM to get to the airport on time. After all the planning (almost 2 years), it is hard to believe that the time is here. I have gone over the packing list a couple dozen times and even with that, I'm sure when we get to camp I will have forgotten something. We will be hunting the Chewore North area of Zimbabwe with Big 5 Safaris. They have a beautiful camp on the banks of the Zambezi river. You can look across and see Zambia. The plan is cape buffalo and plainsgame, but who knows what we will come back with (Mark "N'gagi" is hot to get a hippo and a croc as well). I will be taking along my Ruger M77 in 416 Rigby for the heavy rifle and my 300 H&H for my light rifle. N'gagi is packing a beautiful custom mauser in 458 WM (made for this trip) and his Win M70 375H&H as his light rifle. This is N'gagi's first safari (my 2nd) and he is like a 6'8" 3 year old on Christmas Eve. He called me at work today 4 times (good thing, because I would have called him). Anyway, we both fully blame the members of Accurate Reloading for making us go on this trip Can't wait to share the details with you all upon our return. Take care! Tim

Tim and Mark: You probably won't see this until you get home, but be safe and have a wonderful time. I will gladly accept partial blame for this, and am looking forward to seeing the pictures when you guys get home. Sounds like a great reason to get together at Kyler's. Dave
