A FORCE FOR CONSERVATION OF WILDLIFE, WILD PLACES AND OUR WAY OF LIFE

I'm here at Dallas Safari Club and have learned that Customs is selecting out African professional hunters for intense luggage searches. It's reported that items from CITES-listed species were seized from at least 12 different P.H. I suspect that this arises from the CITES Standing Committee meeting last July when literature was circulated by the protectionists to the effect that the U.S. was the largest importer of illegal ivory products. I'll report more as I learn about it, but everyone needs to spread the word to their P.H. friends ASAP.
