The last that I heard, he was in prison, and his future prospects look poor. He was convicted of murdering a poacher in a fishing concession that he controlled up on the Zambizi.

Hi -Rusty is still in Jail. A political conviction- no body, no name of the aledged deceased, no complainants, just the fact that he could not be found by the police when they went asking questions- since he was a) A zambian on the wrong side of the river and B) involved in a criminal act, if he did survive getting punched by Rusty, I am sure that he would not want to be found by the police!

Rusty's partner was a high court Judge who ruled against the government in a landmark case

Rusty is still in jail and will be there for some time I have heard. I hunted with Safari Trackers in 2002 & 2004. I believe Cabela's still books trips for them as well as this place in Rochester, NY. They can offer some good hunts for DG and plainsgame. They shot some nice elephants off the Shangani hunting camp every year as well.
