What safari companies are hunting the Matetsi blocks in Zimbabwe? Please advise. Thanks! Are these operators OK for US citizens to hunt with? | ||

Matetsi Unit 1 - EK safaris unit 2- Enos Dube - always sublets Unit 3 Inyathi Hunters - Jacob Mudenda Unit 4 Vic Falls Hunters- Mike Chidziva Unit 5 - National Parks ( Comercial arm ) Unit 6 Kazangula Safaris - Jocyln Chiwenga Those are the lease holders at present. Unit one comes up for Auction on friday and there are moves to Auction unit 3 later in the year. Who would I hunt with??? Unit 5 only- but that is personal not law. | |||

Wow, did I read that list right? #14 is a 15 year old boy and #74 is a 12 year old girl? Are they on the list soley because of who their parents are? If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. Ganyana- Did Ron Oliver get access to unit 5? It seems that I read that recently. Also that he was given permission to conduct archery hunts in a Gov area which was a new developement. | |||

Believe so- it was discussed at the recent SCI meeting with the Director General- but follow Terry's advice and ask Ron himself. He has always been one of the booking agents I have had alot of time for. First met him when he was stationed at the US embassy here, and he comes back for at least a couple of months a year following up on the areas he books for | |||

The Auction that didn't occur was yesterday... Now rescheduled for next month- along with Unit 3. Of couse there is intense lobying behind the sceens to ensure that nothing is sold until too late and then parks will just have to roll the existing leases.  I suspect though that the auctions will occur | |||
