Hi Gents I am thinking of booking a hunt for 2007 and I need some help in selecting an outfitter. I have previously hunted in Zim and RSA. I would prefer not to return to either because I did not like the fences in RSA and my stupid government will not allow me to take my own rifles to Zim while Robber Bob is at the helm (don't ask). So I am looking at Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia. I am not interested in Namibia as I prefer to hunt in bushveld conditions. I want to hunt eland, bushbuck and possibly cape buffalo or leopard. I rate the thrill of stalking more than the size of the trophy, so massive heads are not very important to me, nor is five star camps. Does anyone have any recommendations? Try Mark Kyriacou in Botswana. They hunt in the Okavango delta - Buffalo, Leopard, plainsgame - and can set up a hunt in the Kalahari for Leopard, eland and other plainsgame. email: MK.birdsaf@worldnet.att.net I've hunted with them 3 times and had a wonderful time. I don't think that brushbuck is on quota in Botswana, although it may be available on a ranch. TerryR | |||
