If you get the chance,I urge you to read the article about this little 5ft Female dynamo and her activities in Africa early 1900s'. Ive not heard of her before, and maybe its hyped up from the writings of the time, maybe not. Let us know what you think.

I'm reading it tonight. The photos and captions alone are impressive. Gary

I read the article and enjoyed it. Also, be sure to check out this thread: Osa & Martin Johnson - Photograph Archive The Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum web site: http://www.safarimuseum.com/ Black Rhino / Thomas Bland double rifle in .470 Nitro Express. -Bob F.

No hype behind Osa. She used to hold her shots on dangerous game so Martin could get the right angle and light for filming.

Good article except they erroneously report they flew 60,000 hours while in Africa. Nada. Perhaps they meant to indicate the miles they covered as the crow flies, but clearly not hours. _Baxter

Bfaucett, I checkout your links, good stuff. That woman really has the joy of life in her eyes and face. A rare sight indeed and a real pleasure to know that she had it. Where are these kinds of Women Today? beats me as to whether they exist anymore. She was a rare little diamond. And I bet she and her husband were the best of friends as much as they were lovers of each other or what they adventured together in. It would explain why she took the loss of her man so hard.
