Has everyone else already noticed, except me, that the longer a post lasts and the more replies it gets, the farther we get from the original subject or question? I used to read the long posts/replies and when I get to the end, I forget what it was about... Alzhiemers is tough to shake. I had AIDs but am better now...

Dogcat: Some of the threads in the big bore forum are so long that I despair to even wade in -- and pretend they are simply not there, unlike the pixies ... There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Isn't that true of any gun or hunting related conversation? Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt. Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure. -Jason Brown

The biggest trouble I find on long threads is the tendency for posters not to read the origional post and answer that but to start debating (sic) on the minutae of previous posts, which is guranteed to take the post in a multitude of directions. Von Gruff.
