Since Masailand is not supposed to be able to produce buffalo at this time of year and over 40" buff are scarce as hens teeth I thought you might like to see this 47" taken on the 18th of this month. Paul Horsley was the PH.

That's possibly the most perfect buffalo head I've ever seen. He has it all.

Thanks for the picture Mark.

Beautiful.

I agree, this one has it all. And then some more. I now know where to point people who ask: "What do you mean by a hardtop buffalo?"

Congrats to PH for finding and hunter for shooting.

Mark,
I think it's time outfitters started charging trophy fees based on spread (like weight on elephant tusks) for buffalo Smiler sofa

A buffalo like that can equate to an elephant with 7 ft symmetrical tusks in the 90+ pounds category. He is not only wide, he has everything, drop, mass, boss, character.....

Guys, NEVER, EVER, "expect" to come home with such a trophy! The hunting God's were smiling on this fella..... clap

Mark,
This Buff has it all! Which hunting unit was it shot in?? If this is off season quality just think what it is like in prime time.
It just shows that Buff will go anywhere they want when they want to!!!!!!!!!

The buffalo came from Lobo and I guess it just shows that the permanent water there makes all the difference. Lobo has continued to produce massive buffalo from the opening of the season until now. Of course we did shoot a 44" a couple of weeks ago in Lokisale that I posted here.

It would be safe obviously to book a buffalo hunt in Lobo anytime during the season. We are hoping with our new water sources in Lokisale that the same will be true there also.

Regards,

Mark

Folks,

MZEE mentioning Paul Horsley reminded me that a guy who left early and one gentleman that wounded a buffalo have been the only unsuccessful buff hunters this year in Lokisale and Lobo. That works out to about 3 out of every 4 buffalo hunters going home with a buffalo over 40".
