Looks like though I missed DSC I will still be able to make the Houston event. Who all is going and what day(s) do you plan on going? I have found, in the past, that 1/2 day is about all you need, but I understand they are supposed to have a lot more vendors/outfitters this year. Lee.

We are going after my son's pinewood derby race. Unfortunately, most of the African Outfits that we chatted with in Dallas are not going to Houston.

Go Duke!!

I am planning on being there Saturday.

Any chance of an AR dinner that night, in the Woodlands?

I will be there Sunday morning -- but if past year's are any indication, it will not take long to get through the show. Nice that it is convenient, but next to Dallas it pales in comparison.

I just don't understand it, Houston has a relatively healthy economy, but folks just don't spend money here! I am into guns and muscle cars. These require a certain amount of disposable income, but not too bad. We no longer have a gun show that is much, unless you want an AR-15 or a Rem 700. Almost never is a dealer of mid to high quality guns present. As to muscle cars, Even Super Chevy won't put on a show here anymore, Vendors cannot make a living selling T-shirts and toys! If you want to see any show, gun, car or hunting, you have to go to Dallas. I guess we just never recovered from the oil bust in the 80's ! Ok, rant off! Lee.

I may come by if I get back from San Antonio with enough time. Didn't make it to Dallas either.

lee as someone who exhibits at shows your information is very useful. It's funny how different one city is from another. Some places nobody uses cash in another city noone uses plastic. Some places definitely spend more than others. At the moment there's not much spending going on anywhere.

It may just be me, but the Houston show seemed smaller than normal.

The HSC website says the booths were sold out. You are probably just reacting to the huge size disparity between DSC and HSC. I will see tomorrow.

I've enjoyed the HSC... yes it's small, but then again, it's
not so overwhelming, and you don't have to decide between 20
different outfitters if you are really looking to buy a hunt.
I saw some very good deals on U.S. hunts, and my wife and
I will probably add a bison hunt, to our two whitetail hunts
we are doing this year...

I don't go to Reno anymore, because it's too big to be fun for
me.... Dallas is a good size, but the hotels are scattered
around, Houston is quaint....

but damnit... let me go to the
live auction without buying a freakin $200 banquet ticket..

Stop by Wild Rivers Whitetails and say hi... we'll be hanging
out there today..
