Fantastic-a must read for Africa hunting enthusiasts

Yes, it's a favorite along with Buzz's DVD.

For your next read, try Ron Thomson's "Mahahoba" if you haven't already, it is also great.

(BTW, my spelling of the title is in question if you try to look for it.)

"Mahohboh" -- it is tricky to spell but luckily my copy is on the shelf in my office!

Yes, Richard's book is a must read for African Elephant hunters. Plus, he's a fantastic and down to earth gentleman in person, to boot!

Thompson's book isn't hard to find but it is expensive. I got a copy and would have never paid that much except I try to get as many books on that subject as possible. The cheapest copy I could find was $185 here in the States. Many of the copies are overseas. Unless you really want a copy for personal reasons, I wouldn't suggest spending that much for one. Richard's book is better in my opinion for much less money.

I read Harlands' book when it came out and I also like Will's book

All of the above books are worth a read. You can pick up a little different perspective from each and each provides some tid bits of info not in the others. Probably Richard Harland's book provides the most com[plete info on elephant hunting in one place.

You can get it direct from Richard but he is out of pocket most of the time. You can also get it from Craig Boddington's website for $55.

That's right. I got mine for $185 several weeks ago. I didn't want to pay that much but it was the cheapest I could find by a good bit and the book was in excellent shape.

Clarification of situation:
After various queries from AR members, I've just checked with Ludo Wurfbain at Safari Press.
He is NOT stocking 'Ndlovu - The Art of Hunting the African Elephant'. He IS stocking 'The Hunting Imperative' and 'African Epic'.

'NDLOVU' is available from www.craigboddington.com (shipped ex Dallas, TX), and from www.rowlandward.com, shipping from Virginia. Price at both is $55.

Rowland Ward stock the other two books as they are the publishers. I think African Epic is $60 and The Hunting Imperative is $38.

I have wondered why Safari Press doesn't carry Ndlovu as it is top notch. It's not like the hunting world is overloaded with elephant books. They do have Buzz's DVD and the other 2 books that Richard wrote.
