Namibian taxidermist is all paid up and I paid the shipping / freight service 3 weeks ago. Hadn't heard anything till yesterday when I contacted them by e-mail. Their response was that because my shipment has to go thru South Africa they were waiting on a veterinarian to inspect and approve it before it could ship. Anyone heard that before and how long should I wait before I start screaming for my stuff?? Thanks, 163bc

My shipment from Namibia was vet inspected in Joburg and then again in the EU.
Some delay with each step.

Consolidation of shipments is another reason for delays.

Do you have an AWB # yet?

vet inspection is normal when wildlife products are shipped from 1 country in Africa to another.

it happens all the time. When they say that, it's usually takes 8 weeks, but it may take longer , depends on what is being shipped. patriot
