If I was an outfitter I would prefer that. At least you know the people walking by your booth already has some interest in hunting (being an member) and not just someone trying to kill an afternoon and have no interest in booking a hunt. I call that a target rich environment.

The show does not revolve around hunting alone; there's just about anything that has to do with the outdoors, be it fishing or hunting, equipment, taxidermy, clothing, jewellery, etc. etc. A good number of the same hunting outfitters also provide options other than hunting, e.g. photography & fishing.

Don't you think the kids enjoy that walk from the hotel room through the casino every morning - past the seedy gamblers still pounding back hard liquor and feeding the slots at the break of dawn, through the nicotine haze and the random drunks?

.... and the scantily clad, bulging, bubble-butt waitresses skipping around the gaming floor .. Big Grin
I was there the year they had a porn convention running alongside SCI's show that garnered quite a bit of interest from the main event.

You gotta challenge ahead of you Use Enough Gun . . . pitching an event at a casino convention center that you have to walk through several casinos to get to on The Strip in Sin City, the place that runs commercials featuring people struggling with hangovers, having affairs and advertising that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", as an event in a "kid friendly" venue . . . good luck!

I think there is an entrance by the food court where you can enter right next to the convention hall.Kids could arrive in the morning when no one is drinking too.

I understand that. But as an outfitter/ PH my job is to sell the hunts I am offering. And can you share a few outfitters/ PH that also offer up other services (eg. photo and fishing) along with their hunts? Genuinely curious as I haven't seen that.

If you were to take the trouble to look at offers you will find that a good number of the SA bunch in particular offer such amenities, especially when spouses or family (with kids) are involved. All part of the marketing ploy is it not?
Are there no Fishing Outfitters participating at the show? .... I recall several guys selling fishing safaris for the exotics like Peacock Bass, Rooster, etc.
I have had more than one client who booked a hunt and followed it through with a photographic safari in the adjacent National Park. One in particular did so with his family (who flew in to coincide with the end of the hunt).
I understand that window-shoppers can be irritating but on a side note, you are the one selling the wares and not everyone is obliged to buy.
