Looks like the wife may be offered a job with CDC in Tanzania with one year renewable contract and big bucks. If it happens I am looking at getting a leave of absence from my current job and hanging out in Africa. Ideally I would like to get hooked up with an outfitter and work in a safari camp. I read the book from a local guy here in AZ ("the Last Safari")That did something similar in Zimbabwe.

I will start with my contacts in Mozambique and S. Africa but ideally Tanzania would be the best. I read Robinsons book and I have a majority of the skills required, and would be willing to attend a safari school in SA as well.

Did my first African hunt last year and couldn't get enough so this may help me out in that regard.

I am an American who apprenticed in Zambia for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. It was a challenging, rewarding experience, and every day brought something fun and/or interesting. I plan to go back and get my license when Zambia reopens. Because you aren't really looking to become a licensed professional hunter, things may be a bit different for you.
