I have the contract in hand for my first safari. We will be hunting buff/hippo/croc for 10 days with John DuPlooy in Zambia in September 2008. I am putting down my deposit tomorrow and then we will be officially booked.

The hunt was booked through Mark Young and Safari Trackers. It goes without saying, since many here know Mark, that he and the Safari Trackers organization are absolutely top notch and I have really enjoyed working with them. I highly recommend them to all.

Cheers,
Andy

Congrats Andy

I know what you are saying about Mark.

I went from planning a first safari and talking with Mark about possible hunts. To finally booking a hunt that I never thought possible. I don't know how but I went from looking for a 10 day hunt, to booking a 21 day full bag hunt in Masailand in Tanzania.

The next trip might have to be Zambia. That buff/hippo/croc. trip sounds interesting.

Keep us posted Andy.

And again Well done. A first trip to remember.

Well folks, if this is the first time you've been on the Luangwa River, let me tell you, you will never forget the experience! This is my all time favorite place in Africa to hunt Buffalo, and the river is just chock full of Crocs, and big Hippo! Lots of Leopard, and Lion as well! There are a couple things here that you just almost can't get anyplace else, and they are the Cookson's Wildebeast, and the Puku! thumb

Congratulations adrook, and good luck to SBT, and 30-06 as well! I wish I was going with you, it would be like coming home for me! beer
