Operators have received a letter from the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (MNRT) issuing everyone a deadline of 30th Sept to pay outstanding Block and game fees - based on the increased fees - or face losing their blocks. So by the 30th Sept, we will know one way or another how this is all going to end..... "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. This sounds as clear as daylight! Those who pay the increased fees will continue to hunt, and those who don't are not going to be hunting.

More last minute brinksmanship from the Tanzanian MNRT. Apart from the merits of their case, it is really hard to like them or their tactics. I sure hope they lose this one, or are at least forced to compromise. We shall see. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

We are sticking to our original plan of going on the 16th of next month. We are hoping to set up an Internet connection to give you all daily updates from the hunting camp, as we have been doing for the past few years.
