Sorry for the screwed up picture. Wouldn't you know this would be the last picture in a roll of film that didn't catch the full image. Buuut: Here's an Etosha zebra that must have gotten unzipped by a lion and then healed up. Notice the mismatched stripes on his side. The scar went all the way to across his rear leg, unfortunately missing from this frame. Just another indication of how sturdy these zebra are. Imaging eluding the predators with your side ripped like this guy had. Our PH told us his family had a rug for years of another zebra with the same kind of scar. Bob | |||

I have seen zebra that have had the muscle almost completely removed from one of thier hind legs. They still survived and did not seem to be bothered at all. But this one certainly takes the cake! First he gets unzipped by a lion, and then you run out of fil before you can show him with all his past glory | |||
