As promised, here is a photo of our little daughter Hessa. She will be 2 years and 3 months on Christmas Day, and loves to spend her time in our workshop.

She loves Walter, and plays "peek-a-boo" with him non stop.

This works out well for all of us, as when these two children are busy entertaining each other, we can actually do some useful work - instead of watching out for them to make sure they stay out of mischief!

Hi Saeed,
very cute your little one. I always wanted to have at least one daughter but now I have three sons! Wonder how to "make" a girl

Sunshine,

'Making' a girl is a rather involved recipe, which I would gladly pass on to you anytime it's convenient. Beware, though - it all starts off with a weekend at a ludicrously expensive resort here in Africa......

Be warned that no man can ever be the same again once he has a little girl who looks at him with big eyes and calls him 'Dad'.

Saeed,
She's a "heartbreaker" for sure. Reminds me of when my granddaughters were young.

I think the beautiful young lady has the look of someone who has her daddy wrapped around her little finger! She is going to be quite the looker!

I have three daughters and as bad as they controlled me with the cutsie looks, my grandaughter is ten times better at it! My three year old grand daughter owns me and everyone in the family knows it!

Daughters are very special, you and your wife are truly blessed with little Hessa. ----- I have two daughters and a son that that along with their mother are the lights of my life. My son shoots and hunts with me, I think he has the bug even worse than I. I started my son out backpacking and going to the mountains early, being joined by the youngest daughter later, she and I continued the tradition yearly and one year my oldest joined us between children. That trip to the Grand Tetons with both daughters backpacking and staying in the wilderness for several days was extra special. Don't let anyone tell you that girls are not as much fun as boys, I can attest to the fact a little attention from old Dad will accomplish wonders with all the little ones that grow up to be better people for it. I now have five grandsons and a grandaughter that all have to have a good shooting rifle that will someday be theirs, of course grandpa has to do the fine tuning with the help of all the AR nuts. My wife is tolerent of my shooting and hunting, which keeps me out of her hair, she always was as pretty as she is smart. Good shooting.

"...Your right we are blessed that she looks like her mother, can you imagin a little girl looking like Saeed! Allah help us!!..."

Walter got himself into deep trouble before Hessa was born.

We knew we were going to have a girl, so Walter kept saying " I hope she looks like her mother, and have her father's brains! I cannot imagine her looking like her father, and having her mother's brains!"

Of course, that put him on my wife's blacklist, which put him on his toes for a while.

I think he still remembers the day she fed him chocolate covered impala droppings in Zimbabwe.

He says both of us are so nasty, we suit each other. And as Hessa is already playing some tricks on him, he fears she is will turn out the same as her parents!

Poor Walter. He says his REAL fear is going to Africa with Hessa, and she outshoots him

I told him it won't take much to out shoot him, especially if I load his ammo

Having one daughter and three granddaughters I can attest that when they cut those eyes at you like Hessa is doing...you will melt and tend to spoil them once again.
However Saeed...the good thing about grandchildren..after you have spoiled them you can send them home to their parents. It is the perfect way to get revenge on your kids!
She is a doll for sure.
You need to get back to Texas where we can outfit her in a good looking Stetson and a fine pair of boots!
I saw in your CD Walterhog was wearing a Texas Champion Trap Shooting buckle...wonder how he won that???

A daughter is special, sons grow up and most will quit hugging and kissing dad, but not daughters, My daughter Kaysie is still my baby girl at 39 years old, she is also my keeper, confidant, biggest pest, treats me like an invalid, and in general mothers me like on old wolf mama. Worries about my roping at my age, offers more advise than I can stand, always concerned about me getting hurt to the point that I want to tell her, "hey kid, I been a cowboy all my life, I have been places you only dream about, I have done things in my 70 years beyond the imagination of you or your friends" but you know what? I don't say a thing, I know its because she loves me and besides, I kinda like the attention from my little girl

Now add to that her daughter Kyndal, 9 years old and she does the same thing her mother does, again I love it! and a circle goes unbroken...

When is she going on her first safari with you, hope she has a little 22 long custom built for her. Don't let Walter teach her the art of shooting, that is a job for dad. My oldest daughter (8 years) shot her fisrt francolin this year, when asked if we are going to eat it she said no it has to be mounted.

Enjou her they grow up way to quick.

Wimpie

Best wishes for the new year.

God bless all of you. I agree that they will grow off much too quickly. Enjoy every trip to the park and bedtime story. It will slip on by you. My oldest is 29 now. She will grace us with our first grandchild next June. Question is will the little munchkin wait til I get back from Safari or make me into a louse by coming while I am gone. My youngest are 21 and 20. How did that happen? Well it is a good thing I didn't get any older as they were.
