Hi guys.

Here are some more photos of hunt in Namibia. These are some the animals shot by my client and friend Chris Farris. There are also some pictures he shot too.

His first Mountain Zebra stallion:

His second Mountain Zebra stallion. He shot it with his 6.5 STW with 140 grain A-Frame. It was quartering away and the bullet went through the on shoulder high, travelled through the neck and exited out the skull right between the eyes! If you look close in the photo you can see a spot in the center of his nose just below the eyes where the bullet came out and took a chunk of hide with it.

His Gemsbok. We had to work hard for these:

His springbok which was a little over 16":

Here is his Kudu which he shot at over 300 yards from a rock formation. He used a 6.5 STW with a 140 grain A-Frame and the bullet went in through the front of the chest and dropped stone cold dead.

Here is the truck he was using:

Here is a lion track from one of a pride of 9 lions that they walked up on by accident. Two of which mock charged them to 25 yards!

Here is a snake catcher eagle taken through a leica APO spotting scope with their digital camera adapter and a leica digilux:

Great photos. Looks like you guys had a great hunt. I just can't get over how green it was. In Sept. the grass and mopane was all shades of yellow or brown.

As far as the lions go...Now I know why Vaughan always had that 458 hanging around his neck.

BTW, I've bought scopes from Chris for years. Great folks to do biz with.

SC, you have a talent for taking pics. Your trophy pics of your animals and your pal's are great. Brother, looks like you're shouldering the mantle against the TROLL as far as posting stuff that is interesting to look at and read about it. Keep it up. You have my support. FTAH.

Great pictures, well taken. What can the 6.5STW be compared to? I haven't heard much about this caliber so I assume it is the 7STW necked down...

Congratulations Chris, those are some great trophies!

I'm especially jealous of that great Springbok! We were looking for a couple like that, but I guess they always managed to stay just over the next hill.

I've written a short welcome to those who have just completed their first Safaris.

You're one of us now, a bona-fide Africaholic!

Congratulations on a great hunt! That springbok was a monster but my favorite animal in Namibia is the Hartmans Mountain Zebra. Very unique animal. I'm glad to see your buddy doubled on them.
