It's a very good book, I have copy #398.

Seems like quite a few safari books really appreciate in value in just a few years (Hallamore's "Chui" being another one).

Good read and good investments.

The first edition (signed and numbered)?

I think 500 posted the cover photo of the trade edition that is available.

Excellent book. Definitely one of my favorites regarding African hunting especially Zimbabwe.

I seem to recall that he was in the process of finishing another book. Anyone know of this?

Regards,

I have a signed copy #937. How many first edition copies were printed? The PH I hunt with says he knows Nyschens. I hear he is/was quite a character. Don't know if he is still around, but I've tried to meet him every time I've been in country.

Geronimo,

I think all (or at least most) 1st edition signed copies that Safaripress publishes are 1000 in total. At least all the ones I have are.

According to Safari Press's latest catalog, a reprint will be available in the Summer of '06. Of all the Africa books I've read I think it and the Hunting Imperative by Richard Harlan are my favorites.
