Who knows Alf? Wink

If Kudu is clever enough to eat Aloe leaves they may just be capable of the conversion in itself to an equal or similar substance as Aloe Vera so to benefit from it. clap

On more than one occasion on hunts in the Pongola area, where there are literally thousands of Aloes all over in the veld, we successfully 'tracked' Kudus in the rocky parts where spoor is difficult to follow, on fresh browsing marks left by Kudus on Aloe leaves.
Not that I myself can do that, but the guides in those areas are quite good at that - it has worked out well for us more than once.

Alf & Jagter

thanks for all the scientific stuff the fact stands that they eat aloe and it taste like shit why? it must be good for them. why will you eat brussel sprouts if there is a steak in front of you because your mom always told you its good for you. it has to have a influence because a healthy kudu becomes a big kudu and he jumps the fence and you shoot it on a property without aloes.

i know that the minerals in the soil also has an effect on trophy quality.what do you think?

alf where in the lowveld do you hunt?

Hello guys, I have not lost interest in this pursuit of the 60" KUDU. Right now I am down in the Caribbean on a wonderful cruise with my wife...earning "safari points"!! After all of this intense AR-comms, I have made some outstanding contacts, and am pursuing 3-4 of them...my plan being to hunt 7-10 days in 3-4 very top areas...just to see how lucky I can be!!
I certainly appreciate all of this dialog on the subject!

Hey 470EDDY: When you get back from your trip, give me a call...we need to do some 'catch-up' visiting. Hope you are having a great time. We have been cogitating about you in your absence!!
