I'm teaching a Community Ecology class this semester, and by way of introducing the topic it would be interesting to use a photo with as many species of mammalian wildlife in it as possible. The diversity of African ungulates is roughly an order of magnitude greater than North/Central/South America combined, and that is one of many conundrums that we will ponder in this course. A photo illustrating the diversity of African ungulates would be helpful if anyone has one that they would be willing to share. It should list the place and time as accurately as possible along with a list of the species if some of them are hard to identify. Full photo credit would go to the photographer, and you can have my entire teaching budget for this course - in fact, consider yourself already paid! Anyway, if you would like to provide a picture, I would be most grateful - you can email it to me at brentd@iastate.edu.
