I have hunted and often send hunters to the Gwaii area. I have a Cape Buffalo and Leopard hunter headed ther in two weeks. Terrific hunting region. When you are but fifty feet from a beast that can stomp you into a mudpuddle or shred you into fajitas, rest assured he will have your UNDIVIDED attention!! www.aahsomeafricanadventures.com safariman416@hotmail.com

The Gwayi was a Conservancy of private farms until the were invaded by warvets in 2002 and 2003. Will you be hunting on an illegally occupied farm? I assume your outfitter is South African? Who is the Zimbabwean outfitter or PH required by Zim law? If you thought you were hunting Botswana and now Zimbabwe, why the switch? Some questions you might like to be asking IMO.

Mr Swanepoel is not licenced to conduct safaris in Zimbabwe and the minister slapped a hunting ban on most of the Gwaii area a month ago. Be careful and check who is the zim operator.

I am not going on a leopard hunt. I just got back from a plains game hunt in RSA. I was just passing on the information about a leopard hunt that seems to have a high success rate. I think Stef Swanepoel has been hunting this area for years and I know there is a black PH from Zimbabwe that is part of this hunt package but I do not remember his name. |

If you hunt in the Gwaai with a South African you 100% will be hunting on stolen land and it is very likely that you will be contravening U.S. laws. Be very careful indeed.

BTT Maybe all these reputable booking agents and outfitters can tell us which farm(s) they are hunting on in the Gwayi?
